KSRP(Cadre and Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
NOTIFICATION
The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka State Reserve Police (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2020, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of Section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause(a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act for the information of persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion, which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore-560 001.
DRAFT RULES
1. Title and commencement.-(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka State Reserve Police (Cadre and Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final Publication in the official Gazette.
2. Amendment of schedule. In the Karnataka State Reserve Police (Cadre and Recruitment) Rules, 2020, in the schedule in the entries relating to the category of post of “Special Police Inspector (Men) and “Special Police Inspector Women)” at serial No. 8 the following shall be substituted..
Special Police Inspector: 169,250-1,34,200) 132, 132 By promotion from the cadre of Special Reserve Sub-Inspectors (Men) and Special Reserve Sub Inspectors (Women), on the basis of combined seniority, being determined by treating a person holding a post carrying higher scale of pay as senior to person holding a post carrying lower scale of pay. Seniority instance among cadres being maintained, on the basis of length of service in respective cadre.
Must have put in a service of not less than eight years in the cadre of Special Reserve Police Sub-Inspectors (Men) and Special Reserve Police Sub Inspectors (Women):
Provided that, if officers who have put in a service of not less than eight years are available then the officer who have put in a service of not less than five years may be considered for promotion.
